What is AnyTime? |
 |
Until now, Soonr users could access files on remote computers only if their remote computer was turned on and connected to the Internet. Basically files on computers could only be accessed when the computer was online. Now you can access the files on your remote computers AnyTime, even if your computer is off-line (or turned off). This also provides the added benefit of giving you a secure backup of your information. Unlike other backup services, information secured with Soonr AnyTime can be retrieved and viewed remotely via mobile phone or web browser.

How Do I Know AnyTime is Activated? |

There is a new interface element that has appeared in the browser interface. It is a gauge that shows how much storage space you have available and how much is used. You can click on the "What's this?" link to get more infomation about the gauge. Please note that this ONLY appears in the web browser interface, and not on the mobile phone interface.

How Does this Work? |
|
 This is accomplished by caching an encrypted copy of information in our secure web servers. Only information that you specify will be affected. Currently this works on a folder / subfolder basis. In the web browser interface, an option to "store" a folder will appear in each folder.
After clicking on this option, Soonr will estimate the space needed and get your verification before it begins caching in the background. Under normal circumstances you will not even know that Soonr is busy in the background as it knows how to "throttle" the resource usage to give priority to any local tasks.

User Interface Elements |

If you are wondering about the state of the caching process, from the Soonr Desktop, click on the icon for the remote computer in question. Soonr will display a list of the folders that have been designated for storage and the progress of the storage operation.
There are also visual indications on the desktop itself. The states of each folder are described in the graphic below.

Give It A Try! |
|
After the folders are stored for AnyTime access, disconnect your computer from Soonr or shut down and access the information from another computer or your phone. This feature is especially critical if you are sharing information with a group of people. Regardless of the state of the source computer, you can be sure that anyone that needs access to the shared data will be able to access it. |
